Routes are computed based on real battery consumption using a physical or average consumption model. The engine predicts energy usage per segment considering gradient, speed, weight, temperature, and traffic.
HERE identifies where and how long a vehicle should charge, respecting: minimum & maximum charge levels, charging curves (0–100%), connector compatibility, station power limits, desired arrival charge at the destination.
Define EV parameters such as: vehicle weight, frontal area, drag coefficient, rolling resistance, recuperation efficiency, auxiliary consumption. The HERE EV Routing API is designed for fleet management, smart mobility, and charging infrastructure platforms. As a result, EV fleets can operate more efficiently and reliably.
Routes can be restricted to supported plug types (Tesla, CCS, CHAdeMO, GB/T) and filtered by power output. Each charging stop includes arrival SoC, target SoC, charging time, and energy added. Moreover, the API supports scalable routing across regions and charging networks.
