Most location vendors do one thing — sell you someone else's APIs or build you a custom map. Placematic does three things at once: we build and operate our own spatial software products, we run proprietary location APIs on our own infrastructure, and we deliver HERE Technologies location services to clients who need enterprise-grade data.

How Placematic got here.

2016
Founded in Warsaw, Poland with a focus on GIS software and spatial data for European enterprises. Became a HERE Technologies Partner in our first year.
2018 - 2022
Expanded into proprietary SaaS products — UpGrid for territory management and UpInsight for geomarketing analytics — serving retail, logistics, and telecom clients across Central Europe.
2023
Launched Placematic USA LLC in Rolling Meadows, IL. Began serving US-based fleet tech and logistics companies. Developed Spatial API — proprietary location infrastructure for B2B product teams.
2024 - present
First US customer: GreenLight ELD (Joliet, IL). Expanded US go-to-market across Fleet & ELD, Logistics, Retail, and SaaS verticals. Active HERE Gold Partner for North American clients.
