One vendor, one contract, one team that understands all three layers.

For SaaS products (UpGrid, UpInsight, Pos-Eye), we configure a working environment with your data. For APIs, we provide credentials tied to your specific use case. No credit card required. No automatic conversion to a paid plan.

Placematic USA LLC is always the contracting and billing party for all HERE services. You sign one agreement with Placematic — we handle the HERE relationship on the backend. You never negotiate with HERE directly, never receive a HERE invoice, and never need a direct HERE account. This is one of the core benefits of licensing through a HERE Gold Partner.

You can start with exactly what you need. A fleet tech company can take just HERE Routing API and HERE Maps SDK. A retail chain can take just UpGrid for territory management. A SaaS team can take just the Geocoding API. There’s no requirement to bundle products — though many clients expand over time as they discover adjacent use cases.

UpGrid, UpInsight, and Pos-Eye are priced per plan based on the number of POI locations in your account — no usage-based surprises. If your plan includes HERE API calls (for maps, geocoding, or routing inside the platform), those are covered under your Placematic contract. You don’t separately license HERE or pay HERE directly for anything Placematic delivers.

Direct HERE contracts involve procurement negotiation, minimum volume commitments, no integration support, and separate billing. Through Placematic you get a single agreement, faster access (pilot within 1 business day), direct engineering support from our team, and the option to combine HERE APIs with Placematic’s own spatial software and APIs — all under one invoice. As a HERE Gold Partner since 2016, we also have access to partner pricing tiers not available to direct customers at standard volumes.
